Who has something to be happy about this fine Monday morning?
Here in central MD - the weather is primo - sunny and 75 forecast, the O's are having their home opener (yay!), and to make it even more special, my boys are bringing a 3-0 sweep of the Rays back with them to start the season in style!!
So what, I'm busier at work this morning than an Octopus who needs 8 more arms - I'm doing it with a smile :-) Hopefully, we can open our season at Camden yards with a W...
The weekend? Pretty great - awesome weather, and although H got called in to work both Saturday and Sunday, it was ok, 'cause at least there was baseball ((really big grin))...
...and how were your weekends???
Re: Happy Monday!!!
DH & I at the Light Festival
Morning ladies!! It's rainy and gloomy here today.
I guess you could say I had an exciting weekend. Friday night I went with DH on a road trip for work. We got home around 12:30/1 am.
Saturday I sliced my fingertip on a mandolin slicer and ended up at the ER. I didn't have to get stitches, but it hurt like HE!! Plus I had to get a tetanus shot, so now I have a welt on my other arm.
Sunday I went shopping with my sister and just hung out at home.
OUCH!!! I'm scared to death of mandolins- apparently for good reason. I hope you heal quickly.
We had a great weekend. On Saturday SD & I went to visit my parents & then came home to help Nelson fix supper. He grilled hisfamous (at least to us) ribs & I made baked beans & cooked corn-on-the-cob. YUM!
Sunday we went to church & then over to Nelson's parents house for lunch. After that SD & I went shopping for summer clothes. Then came home & all 3 of us enjoyed being outside since it was a pretty spring day.
It's sunny with a HIGH OF 89 degrees here today! I so wish Iwas at the beach instead of at work.
Yikes Julie. Hopefully it heals quick!!
My weekend was good. I left work early on Friday and ran some errands with DH. Saturday we did some house cleaning, took the dogs for a long walk, got ice cream at my favorite spot!, and then went out for margaritas for a friend's b-day.
Sunday was a pretty lazy day, but I managed to get some sewing done, walked the dogs, and worked out!
I'm so ready for this week to be done because I'm off next week!!

Weekend was good.
Fish fry on Friday with DH, mom, and cousins then they came back to the house after. My mom left, my cousins stayed, NDN came over and Mike put a fire in the pit.
Saturday I had lunch with mom & sis and hung out there for awhile. That evenign after dinner Mike, Amanda & I went back over there and watched The Chaperone on DVD with mom & sis. Cute movie.
Sunday we went to church as the mass was dedicated to my dad. After that I had my mom, sister and cousins over for dinner at our house. Mike cooked the steaks on the grill and my mom brought over her famous barbecue potato wedges. I made a pasta salad and my cousins brought a cake. They took Amanda home when they left and I watched WRESTLEMANIA!!!!
We had a productive weekend! Friday night I went on a walk/run with the dog and my mom (5K Route). Then came home and made supper. I always make this recipe with pork chops, cream of mushroom soup, rice (and some other stuff), and this is the first time I did it i the pressure cooker...ah-maze-ing! : ) We then watched the last few DVDs of Fringe Season 2, so we could FINALLY start watching this season's on the DVR.
Saturday we worked outside all day! It was beautiful!! Windy, but 78!!! Jeff got the Christmas lights down (haha, finally there is no snow on the roof), then cleaned our attached garage. I worked on cleaning out the flower/rock gardens. That night Jeff grilled us some steaks, and I made baked potatoes in the pressure cooker (my new favorite appliance) and salads. Then, we watched more Fringe.
Sunday morning I cleaned the kitchen (needed attention very badly...oops), then I made us breakfast/lunch. After that it was back outside for another 5+ hours of yard work! I have all of the flower/rock gardens cleaned (like, each limestone picked up, cleaned all weeds and vines and dead stuff out, then put them back). Last night I made ribs, homemade white cheddar mac 'n cheese and steamed green beans with fresh-brewed iced tea!!! Yumm-o! Jeff got the shed/detached garage completely cleaned out and organized (which was a huge undertaking!!!). All we have left is to get the sprinkler system up and running for summer and get my potted flowers all ready, then we are set for summer!!! I told him we should reward ourselves with a new patio table! : )
I had a great weekend, Friday I relaxed and watched some Harry Potter with SD in the evening while DH was playing hockey with some friends, SS was at a friends playing Xbox.
Sat DH and I went for a walk around the neighborhood together, then shopping to look at this memory foam mattress at Costco which has a $100 rebate making it $400. We didnt get it but would Sunday after finding out the liberal return policy. We left kids at home, since they're 12 and 15 and aren't likely to kill each other during a 2 hr window. Nice to have the freedom to run out for a while and not have to drag them along.
Sunday DH and I walked again and it was another nice day! We all went to my grandma's for my oldest bro's 36th bday party and had a good time. After we got home I finished reading the last Harry Potter book and OH MY GOSH. It was awesome. I can't wait for the movie in July to come out!!
April 2010 Siggy Challenge: Next Vacation Destination
My weekend was very dull, with DH working both days about 15 hours a day. I did a lot of cleaning and organizing at home, and planned some special treats for us for when we go to Boston this weekend and when we go to Vegas in May.
Looking forward to the warmer weather making its way into NY this week. It is supposed to rain but DH bought me a new Coach umbrella last week so I don't mind as much!
DH and I had a FABULOUS weekend!
Friday night we went to a charity event and ate some delicious food. Saturday was a pretty lazy day but we dressed up for a fancy dinner. Sunday we went to a fancy brunch and consumed more delicious food!
Perfect anniversary weekend

Afternoon ladies....
Got into work late following a funeral this morning. Had a pretty quiet weekend.
Friday I stopped to see my Gus and cooked a nice meal of pasta and cherry tomatoes w/ shrimp marinated in lemon, sage, white wine and thyme.
Saturday we hung out at home then ran to ikea to get some project supplies. Then I made ribs!!!
Sunday we were at a wake in the morning and in the evening so that pretty much took the whole day.
