Family Trip to Indianapolis
We are from the Chicagoland area and are considering a long weekend trip to Indy over Labor Day weekend. We will have a 2 month old and 2 1/2 year old with us. Can you recommend activities for us? I know they have a great Children's Museum and there is the zoo...any other ideas? Thanks for your help!
Re: Family Trip to Indianapolis
They have the Drag racing US Mac Tools national championships that weekend. You could see that not sure how the kids would like.
The Eitlejorg Museum is nice there is a tepee for the kids to go into and some cool things to see.
I am going to the Historical Society for their Indiana Experience this week for a field trip and that it is supposed to be good.
Conner Prairie is nice to go to as well. It is interactive and even the little kids enjoy it.
Not sure if they still do this, but they used to have the Sky Concert every year over Labor Day weekend. Fireworks, live music. It's an all day event. Very fun. I think it was cancelled a couple years ago due to lack of corporate funding but maybe it will be back on this year.
Definitely hit up the Children's Museum--it's a GREAT place for kids and adults.
