Adding to existing irrigation question

hi gang,

we have drip irrigation set up in the front of our house. currently we have it dripping in the spots of 4 little plants (That is how the builder had everything set up).  Well the time has come that I want to add plants. Does anyone know where I can find good instructions to just add above ground tubing to my existing drip tubing that is sticking out of the ground? Or any good kits? I don't want any mini misters or mini sprinklers. I just want to add tubing with holes that will drip small amounts of water around a specific area. Hope this makes since. They guy at Home Depot was not helpful at all.

    1. Google "drip irrigation tubing".

    2. Buy fittings and tubing.

    3. Cut existing tubing, apply fitting, apply tubing.

    4. Turn on water.

Really, this is about as ridiculously easy as it gets. You don't need lots of instruction to do it, and you don't need a kit. Google will tell you everything you need to know, and sell you everything you need to buy.

  • Can you find the end of the existing hose/tubing?  If it has a coupling similar to the end of a water hose, you should be able to just attach another soaker hose to the end.  If not, you'll need to cut it and affix a coupling/fitting to attach to the new hose.
