Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
So, Skype recently released their latest update which allows you to have video conference calls with up to TEN people at one time.
I think a Nestie group video chat paired with some wine & chocolate would be a wise way to use this feature.

Happy to hear Skype finally rolled that out! In theory, will be something I will use with both SIL's at the same time... probably to complain about their mother. :-)
Love to do a Nestie night! :-)
Welcome to the dark side
YAY! I was honestly afraid that you guys would call me a total geek for posting that, haha. Glad you're on board!
Want to set a night? Should it be a weekend or weeknight thing? Any thoughts?

I've never skyped, but I would totally be up for it. There were a few times we did voice chat back in the day and that was awsome!!
I vote for weekend night myself.. just not this weekend. LOL.
And you never have to worry about any of us calling you a geek. Especially not me.. heck I'll be attending my first LAN party this weekend with DH's friends to play video games, and I"m excited about it! Now that is geeky... lol

Oh, really? I looooove Skype! It's so flexible; you can chat via IM, voice, or video for free with anyone else on skype. You can also get a really cheap Skype number and use it like a phone to call landlines/cells or have them call you. Also, you can do desktop sharing, which REALLY comes in handy when my parents screw up something on their computer and we have to troubleshoot it for them from 600 miles away
For those of you on Skype already, I'm simply: LindsayMaddox

I've never skyped before, but would be interested.
I am dork though and am sort of nervous. LOL I get like that before local GTG's too.
And you can skype from the iPhone. Voice chat works. I think video chat works on the 3GS and 4 if you can capture video.
Me too, I can't remember our Skype name - Nick made it up.
ETA: Yeeeeah, so our name is niksum-ho. Really. If you know our last name it makes sense buuuuuut. Does anyone know if you can change your name?!?!
