Good Morning! Today should hopefully be a quiet one at work for me, which I need. I hurt my back last week and yesterday I started to have spasms with it. I have a heat patch on it today in hopes it will loosen up my muscles. I hope everyone has a great day!

Re: Morning
Morning! We had a terrible storm here overnight - it woke me up at 4 am! Campbell slept through it, fortunately! Then traffic was no fun this morning as usual when it rains.
I'm a little on edge this am - my baby cousin (okay, 16) who is more like a little sister (she was my jr. bridesmaid) to me is having emergency surgery - they found a grapefruit sized cyst on her ovary on Sunday night/Monday am in the ER. The doctor I saw while pregnant (but didn't end up delivering C) is doing the surgery and she is one of the best so I'm not super worried but a little bit. My mom went to be with my aunt at the hospital so Nick is with C this morning b/c I have a kind of important meeting. ugh, I try to keep reminding myself this is fairly (sort of) routine (right)? I just hope this doesn't cause any of the problems I see so many women around the nest/bump deal with when she's older.
Summer - she is in my prayers! I'm sure she is terrified.
We had really bad storms here too all day yesterday and last night. They were scary!!
Dana - I hope your back feels better soon! Did you ever take a pregnancy test?
No I didn't. Here's the thing, CD1 was on March 8 and then on CD6 I put my nuvaring back in. So I really think I'm crazy for thinking I'm pregnant, but I have known many women to get pg while on BC. I normally O between CD9-11, but to be honest I haven't been charting or anything since being back on BC.

This is what I had--mine was the size of a grapefruit. Did they end up taking her ovary or could they removed the tumor and keep the ovary intact?
On a different note--life here is hectic. Jim leaves for Virginia on Thursday. He is getting really nervous, I am getting really sad. I start getting weepy when I think about the fact we won't get to be a family again for at least 2 months--which is forever in baby time. At least we get to see him in a month when he comes home for Dunc's birthday. Not sure how I'm going to handle everything--the move, teaching, raising Duncan...
I'm not sure Kate, my mom is going to ask my aunt later today. I was wondering the same thing. Was yours left in tact? It would be nice to tell her a success story if so
.
I'll be thinking of you the next 2 months - that will definitely be very tough. We know you can do it! Very sad Jim will miss the next 2 months but at least you know it's over after that!

Summer - I'm glad to hear that the surgery went well and I hope that her recovery is quick.
Kate - I'm sure that the next two months will fly by and when it's over, you'll wonder where the time went. You can do this!! We're all here for you if you need to vent or anything.

It will fly by. You will be so busy being a mom, packing, and teaching that it will seem like it was a week or 2 not 2 months. You can do it!!
Thanks ladies for the support- I'm going to need it!
Summer-- my ovary and fallopian tube had to be removed since my tumor had invaded them and also attached itself to the wall of my abdomen. But I will say this... 3 months later... boom! I was pregnant with Duncan. And we had been trying for sometime.I don't think I remember it happening that quickly after your surgery Kate. That's great.
