Men's championship game...

...are you happy or sad with the result?

I will say, the fact that Butler was 12-for-64 from the field made me cringe. A lot. From a statistical standpoint [especially for Butler, sad day], that game was a hot mess.

Re: Men's championship game...

  • Not really happy..not a UConn fan at all.

But I didn't really care who won..I don't like either team. I was just hoping for a good game. Huh?

  • It was so ugly.  I also didn't care who won, but I wouldn't have thought it to be a much better game.
  • It was tough to watch, and my heart broke for the Butler kids.  But this article explains exactly just why they're so awesome.

  • I hate UConn basketball with every fiber of my being. That being said, I wouldn't exactly have been thrilled if Butler won but I was definitely rooting for them. (Yes, I'm a bitter Pitt fan).

What a boring game overall, though.

Exactly my thought while watching last night!  Pretty sloppy. Kind of pathetic stats all around...

  • WOO HOO!!! UCONN!  UCONN!  UCONN!

SO excited!  I also live in Houston, so I was lucky enough to go to the games this weekend!  Never did I think I would see any team I support win a national game while I was actually there!!  I just hope that I didn't use all my sports karma - I feel like maybe this was some sort of even-ing out of the last 15 years of being a Redskins fan!  Stick out tongue

Game was pretty brutal (Butler shot 18.8%!) and I don't have any ill will towards Butler, although I managed to get a unnatural dislike for Matt Howard because I was really rooting for ODU and he made that last basket during the first game!  (Although I really like Mack).

Gotta love that the two teams who made the finals were basically written off before the season started.  And wow - UCONN has had an amazing month starting with the Big East tournament!

I couldn't agree more. These boys are awesome on the court and in the classroom and I am so sad that this did not work out for them. I firmly believe they have the ability to beat UCONN but unfortunately things just did not work out for them last night. Every team has a bad night and it sucks that theirs was during the final game.

Regardless, I am still proud of them. GO DAWGS!!

  • Indifferent. UCONN just wouldn't let Bulter do anything. I was kind of hoping for a Bulter win for the underdog's sake, but I'm impartial. Great defensive game though...

But....yeah, it was a boring game.

  • I dont usually follow college basketball, but my daughters school did brackets this year (some exercise in probability) and she was #1 in the whole school with UConn winning, so she is getting a check for $250 towards her trip in June.  So i was happy with the results, and am now $250 richer for her winning!  lol
