Pets do the Darndest Things (PIP)

Warning: You may not think Oscar's so cute after you know his "dirty" secret.

 .

 .

 .

This is one of the few time's we've been able to catch Oscar in action (and it's not a great pic), but DH swears Oscar must have been human in a previous life to know how to do this:

image

ETA: Not a great representation, but yep, Oscar likes to please himself. Hth would a dog be able to figure this out??

He's also done this once when I was sitting on the couch next to him and he was staring me in the eye. Super creepy.

Do your pets do anything weird/funny?

Re: Pets do the Darndest Things (PIP)

  • Yeah, so I'm the perv that has to ask... is he doing... dirty stuff, or is he just sitting funny?  lol  His hand makes it look kinda he's going to make himself go blind.  lmao

BTW, yes, I am one of those people who calls pets front paws their "hands"  lmao

    ha, lol.

He jacks off. The red rocket/lipstick comes out and everything.

  • Hahaha!  That is pretty creepy!

Dottie does all kinds of funny things, and we're pretty sure she was a human in a previous life as well.

Here is one of my favorite pictures I've ever taken of her...I was outside finishing up work one afternoon, went inside to get something, and walked out to find her sitting like this.  If only she could actually work for me...

    image

This was another thing she did all on her own once - we were at a friend's house and this chair was in his garage.  We looked over and she was sitting just like this:

  • OK, I thought he was just sitting funny.  Now it's really creepy!

  • lol Megan, Dottie is adorable!!! Love those pics!

Another funny thing Oscar just started doing is that when he's done chewing a bone, he stands it upright/vertical and then walks away.

  • wait.... wait.... is this legit.. like he's actually doing it?  Or is this "haha it looks like he's..."
  • OMG, that's hilarious.

Boomer sits up like that, but just to watch TV.  I haven't noticed her doing anything else :)

  • Hannah, before we had Jack neutered, we were constantly catching Whiskey licking him. Same as Oscar, he just couldn't do it himself. It's stopped for the most part now that he's missing parts :) Very disturbing though.

  • Yep, it legit happens.  I told DH we should take a video b/c the picture doesn't do justice, but then again recording our dog get busy seems creepy in itself. lol
  • Oscar is a dirty old man!  That is absurd!!

  • I am still LOLing at this!! He is  man after all :)

Keno and Cash both watch TV with us, they will sit right in front of the TV paying complete attention to whatever DH and I are watching.  Keno also likes to sit in the drivers seat if I leave him alone in the car. Funny story...Two weeks ago I had to take all three dogs to the vet, it is easier to take the two difficult ones in first and leave Keno in the car and take him in last. So I am inside with the two other dogs and Keno is in the car, my friend pulls up with her cats and sees my car and someone in the drivers seat, she thinks it is me and goes up to the car. She said that she went to knock on the window to talk to me and realized it was Keno in the drivers seat. He was most definitely a human in a previous life.

  • Oh yeah, Cami watches TV too.  The Weather Channel is her favorite.

lol Ashlee.  Oscar loves sitting shot-gun.  We called him "Captian Oscar' b/c he sit up and looks out the front window.
  • Kiku has one stuffed bunny that he likes to hump, and it is the only thing he has ever humped.
He started before he got neutered, and does it even more often once he lost his man-parts. And, his red rocket would just peek out before, but after getting neutered, it comes ALL THE WAY out! It is the grossest thing ever! The first time I saw it, and the big bulge at the end, I screamed and ran out of the room. LOL

He also watches TV, understands way too many words (we often have to spell things out around him so he does not understand us) and is very "human". My mom has had dogs her whole life and says that Kiku has the most personality that she has ever seen.

  • Our girl cat knows where her treats are kept, and we often hear her opening and closing the cabinet. My cat, Bruce, has an extra nob aka finger on his front paws, and can actually pick up things.  He's literally grabbed an entire turkey wrap off of my plate and walked away with it.

I'd love that, but we had him neutered! :O(

Random trivia: All bulldogs are born via c-section before of their hips and common breathing issues, thus it's really dangerous and expensive!

  • I don't know what to say. This is creepy lol!
I can just picture him sitting next to you on the couch, looking at you and touching himself hahahah!!

I mean, you are super pretty, so it makes sense! lol

  • That picture is so funny (and a little weird that Oscar does that).

On occasion I will walk into our living room and find Daisy (the smaller dog) just standing on the coffee table, like its totally normal and she is allowed to do such a thing.  Other than that our dogs are "normal" which is always a term that should be used loosely with dogs.

    Haha!

Dottie "goes to the country" to stay with my parents some weekends, and any time they leave her home to go somewhere, they come home to the table runner and flower arrangement on the dining room table all messed up.

She apparently jumps up on the table to watch them leave (and I think she partly does it because she knows it aggravates them, because there is a chair directly in front of the window that she can see out of no problem...like she thinks that's what they get for leaving her home when she's on "vacation."

haha, lol, I can totally picture that.

We originally weren't going to let Oscar on the couch.  As a puppy we never let him be up there, we always played and sat on the floor.  Then one morning at about 10mo. old I walk out from taking a shower and he's sitting on the couch.  As soon as he realized he could jump, he thought he could take over (which unfortuantely we allowed.  It's fine with just us, but when we have people over, I always feel bad that he's climbing in their laps)

  • Omigosh, I cannot stop laughing at this...he even has that "hey baby" look on his face!  Dirty little bugger...

Riley doesn't do anything really weird, except that he eats the magnets on my file cabinet.  He'll walk right up to it and pull the magnets off, and then he looks totally offended when I find him chewing on them and take them away.  I try to keep them out of his reach, but I live in fear that one day, I'll drop a magnet or not be paying close enough attention, and he's going to wind up in the veterinary ER.
