How are your seeds/garden doing?
How is everyone seedlings or garden going? We just moved our tomatoes, sweet and hot peppers, and eggplants into larger pots on Sunday. They looked pretty beat up from the transplanting, but seem to have recovered. We direct-sowed peas, beets, spinach, and arugula last Saturday (3/26) and not a single one has sprouted yet
I'm worried the light dusting of snow we got on 3/27 killed the seeds. I'm going to give them until this weekend, then sow again.
How about you?

Re: How are your seeds/garden doing?
They're under 2 feet of snow.
I might start my tomatoes next weekend, though. Last year they would not grow, but I think it's because starting in mid-April, we stopped having sun.

I have jalapenos, tomatoes and ox eye sunflowers under the grow lights. I ended up throwing out my first batch of tomatoes because the soil and pots started getting mold or a fungus but it's all good now.
Depending on the weather, I'm planning on planting the spinach, lettuce, carrots and potatoes in the next few weeks. According to our university extension website, April 15 is the first day to plant those veggies but this winter has been particularly harsh so I'll wait and see. Pretty much everything else has to wait until mid-May or June 1. I wish we lived in a warmer climate where things were already growing!
Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
We've started seeds for tomatoes and cucumbers. Some of those have been transplanted to larger pots. Others have germinated but have not been moved yet.
We haven't put anything directly in the ground yet, but maybe this weekend. I was out-of-town last weekend and the weekend before was really cold.
Well, I've planted lettuce plants, spinach, and broccoli. I've bought seeds for lots of others, but I haven't planted yet. I was going to plant potatoes and onions this past weekend, but time slipped away from me. It's supposed to be pretty this weekend so I hope to rectify my laziness!!!
Planted garlic last fall and it's sprouting!! They are around 3-4 inches already. It's so exciting! I can't wait and I'm really glad I did it.
I've got seeds bought for my lettuce but I'm waiting until it gets a touch warmer prob the weekend of the 23rd or so before I put them out. We had snow flurries yesterday...(after being 70 on Tuesday...ugg).
We typically buy the tomatoes and pepper seedlings the first weekend in May.
