First anniversaries

What did you guys do for your first anniversary as a married couple? Or my knotties who got married last year, do you have any plans in the works yet? I'm trying to organize and figure things out ahead of time.

we went to old orchard beach, ME for a few days.

hi Jaimie! Can you believe its almost a year???? 

 

DH and I talked about this last night we are thinking of a few things.

 

1) DH wants to get me tickets and backstage passes to a U2 concert that is coming in July but hes not sure if I can go to the concert since I will be 7 months pregnant. So we have to talk to the doctor

2) If that doesn't work: we were thinking of dinner in NYC followed by Jersey Boys (broadway musical) and a night in NYC

3) or DH's bestfriend is willing to give us his free hotel room passes he has so we might spend the weekend in AC.

we went to orlando to all the parks and then had dinner at Roy's on our actual anniversary (we went there the first night on our honeymoon). Since our anniversary falls on a holiday weekend, we took an extra day off and had a blast!

We got married at Beckwith Pointe so we packed a picnic and sat across the water at Glen Island overlooking Beckwith.  We watched the boats go by and stuffed our faces.  Then went home and had our cake.  Very low key but wonderful.

Ok so we JUST got married but we were talking about it on our honeymoon about returning to the Poconos for our anniversary. We stayed at the Pocono Palace, yea it might seem cheesy but we had a blast!

For our first anniversary we went out to our favorite restaurant and just enjoyed the day together. Nothing big but it was really nice!

We didn't go on a Honeymoon after our wedding so we went down to Florida for 8 days and enjoyed the sun and sand. I'd love to go back this year for our second anniversary, but we shall see what the future holds.

I think we spent a night in AC. We've pretty much been doing that every year since too

Omg Diane, time really freakin flies! We went to AC two summers ago, but J was just saying the other day he wants to go back to the hotel we stayed at and just relax. I'm totally down for this, it's just a matter of him taking off. It's an idea.

Also thinking maybe Yankee tickets?

We went on vacation to California about a few days after our anniversary.  It wasn't really for our anniversary, just when we could go on vacation though.  On our actual anniversary we went to Mt. Fuji for dinner.

we were originally going to go to Vegas but then we decided to put new windows in our house so that went out the window, LOL

 

I think we are just going go to a nice restaurant and spend time together

We ordered take out and went to bed early...lol!  But, we had a good excuse with a 2 month old at home

we went out to dinner.  i was 8+ months pregnant.  if i wasnt pregnant im sure we would have used it as an excuse for a vacation.

nybride, i went to a concert when i was 7 months pregnant.  its not bad for the baby.  of course it was at a smaller music hall so it wasnt something where you could be pushed or anything.

DH went big with our first anniversary.  He planned a surprise weekend trip to Montauk (I had never been).  We stayed in a hotel on near the beach but despite having an anniversary in August, it POURED!  I think there was a hurricane or something going on in 2009.  We played mini golf, had awesme seafood, did the lighthouse tour, walked along the rocks... it was lovely.  We drove home on our actual anniversary and spent the evening in bed being oh so classy -- we watched "Talladega Nights" (one of my favorites) while eating White Castle, haha.

We went back to Jamaica for a 2nd HM/ 1st anniv.  We were engaged there in 2007 and foolishly went somewhere else for our honeymoon which was horrible.  We spent 2weeks drinking, eating, tanning and TTC..

We went out to dinner.  We were like Jen, we had a 3 month old at home so my mom babysat for us.  I also made out better on the gift end

We'll be married a year in May and I have no idea what we're doing for our first anniversary. It's a holiday weekend (Memorial Day), so we could go away. I'll gladly take ideas!
