Thanks for posting Claire!

Thanks Jen! I signed it. That just makes me so mad... and their apology is so insincere!
My issue with PETA on this is not that over population is a problem, because I know it is, it's the fact that they are using National Infertility Awareness Week as part of this contest.
Because you know us infertiles are the ones over populating the planet.
NIAW is about raising support and awareness of the heart ache and pain those with fertility problems face everyday, not about over population of the planet or getting your pets spayed or neutered. Which don't even get me started one, because it's not the responsible pet owners that contribute to pet over population.
I agree with this 100%!

I agree that overpopulation is a problem, but I think this PETA stunt is insensitive and in poor taste. There are much better ways to get the word out about overpopulation and pet neutering/spaying.
I'm a huge animal lover and a vegetarian, but I've never been a big fan of their tactics, especially since their 2003 Holocaust on Your Plate campaign comparing animals at factory farms and slaughterhouses to people in Nazi concentration camps. Not ok in my book.
I agree.
Yes, their timing and "In honor of..." is in really poor taste. It's insensitive and abhorrant. It's also what I think most of us have come to expect from PETA - anything to bring attention to themselves, and divert it away from any other cause.
