i am still sooo tired. and sort of stressed. work is insanely busy, i have so much work to do for this party on saturday, and im scared to go to WW weigh in tomorrow...
with that said, i AM looking forward to getting OT on my paycheck, the party im hosting will be a lot of fun, and if anything, WW will shock me back into doing well on the diet.
plus it is sunny and the birds were chirping this morning, and i have decided to run outside tonight
how are y'all doing?
Re: only thursday
SO tired and have a killer headache. No idea why, was in bed by 9, woke up at 3 w/ DH, but fell right back asleep. Pugface was a bed-hog, so I didn't sleep well from 3 to 5:30.
Went to look at a house w/ MIL last night. She put an offer in. Hope she gets in, I'm excited for her to live in town instead of the BFE mountains. Then we all went to dinner at our fav rib joint. Wednesdays are quarter beers and a kick ass half rack special. I ate a chicken salad w/ no dressing and iced tea w/ no sweetner. So depressing...
Wearing my geeky glasses today. I burst a blood vessel in my eyeball. I look like a f-f-f-reak
The only reason I made it out of bed today is because I know I don't have to drive into the city tomorrow.
This feels like the week that will never end though.
On the plus side, neither Chris or I have anything on the schedule tonight. We planned our first home cooked dinner together in something like 5 weeks.
I'm pretty stoked. I may even give up working after 6pm today.
maybe
p.s. Brew, I bet you look all librarian sexy today

Things are pretty good. Roof is almost done. I'm way too excited about it. H and I started learning east coast swing last night. I really don't know how we dance, I am SUCH a spazz. I freak out every time I need to turn, too much to think about: where my feet need to go, how they need to be positioned, using my shoulders for momentum, spotting on H's face so I know where I'm facing, making sure I finish facing the right direction. Our dance teacher thinks we're hysterical.
We also spent an hour and a half at a nice pet store looking at pet food because Petey is having issues keeping on weight, despite eating everything in site.
I was supposed to hang out with med school friends tonight, but they cancelled. I'm kind of sad, but at the same time, kind of relieved. I need a night to just veg out.
Oh and I forgot to wear my rings today. I took them off before I put stuff in my hair and then left them on the side of the sink. Luckily, it's the bathroom the cat does not have access to during the day, so it should be fine. But I feel all weird not having them on.
The Princess of Anything is Coming!
Had a dream I was queen.
Woke up. Still queen.
Fiddle and farts. I really wish it was Friday.
I am battling PPT again. I cannot get my master template edited, this new version of PPT won't let me do it how I normally do it, so I have to hunt it out.
Last night I worked until 6:15, then jetted off to Relay meetings which lasted for a quarter century. I finally got home at 9:30, changed, packed gym bag and lunch, ran the dishwasher, and wiped down the kitchen. I plopped into bed with People mag and was sleeping by 11.
I am sleepy, it's gray, I'm wearing gray, and I don't feel like doing any of the tons of work I need to do. My huzzzzzzbant wants to meet for lunch, which is a YAY, but will preclude me from my gym class, which is a BOO, and defies my spending moratorium, BOO, but I can do it if it's under $10. We don't get to have lunch together often so all in all YAY.
We had trivia last night we did ok for week 1. They do a trivia league thats like 6-7 weeks long and there will be a big prize at the end. We never have one the whole thing but we have won single weeks. It's also hard we use to ahve 3 of us on our team than greg started to have to work trivia nights so it down to my friend and myself. Where as some teams have 5 people (the max number) and also work with another team. So we did pretty good for ourselves.
Tonight is Jersey Boys!!! I can't wait.
This weekend we don't have much planned.
Exhausted. I woke up this morning and couldn't remember what day it was. Unfortunately it wasn't Friday. I'm super cranky about work. I'm tired of doing other peoples jobs for them. Its not my fault they're incompetent. I made the analogy yesterday that apparently I'm the glue keeping everything stuck together. Problem is, my adhesive is old, worn out and in desperate need of reinforcement.

Morning all!
I decided to skip class this morning and told myself I would catch up on tax class work. I didn't I'm home playing around online and planning our Alaska trip. blah.
Shauni - I don't know when I'm going to get a chance to blog it. So here ya go:
Pot Roast in the Crock Pot
7 WW points (old system I think)
2.5 - 3 lbs. roast, fat trimmed
3 potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
3 carrots, peeled and coined
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 onion, chopped
8 oz. mushrooms, roughly chopped
1/4 cup low-sodium beef broth
1 1/2 tbs. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. oregano
2 tbs. cornstarch
Season the meat with the onion powder, salt, pepper and oregano on both sides. Sprinkle the flour over the meat and pat it down to coat the meat.
Put the roast in a large crock pot. Pour in the beef broth. Dump the vegetables on top. Cook on low for 10-12 hours.
Scoop a large ladle-full of juice (about 1/3 cup, adding water if necessary) into a small bowl. Add the cornstarch and whisk until the cornstarch has dissolved. Pour back into the crock pot. Stir around.
Cook another 10-15 minutes or until the cornstarch has thickened the juices.

It's THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! Usually not a big deal, but after this week, I think I'm going to make myself some cocktails tonight while I do stuff around the house!
I'm stressed, worried, sad, annonyed, a little excited, and blah. A big ball of emotions! Lots going on at work and also in my personal life. I can usually handle chaos when it's one or the other, but when both parts of my life are nuts, it takes a toll on me.
On another note, I'm super glad tomorrow is friday! I plan on drinking a lot this weekend. cheers!
Blog
Im exhausted. So sleepy I can't function which means today should be fun. I have already bribed and persuaded Toby to get up with E saturday morning so I can sleep in.
Hmm, I think I am formally adopting this idea. I do tend to drink on Thursdays though. Usually while watching Grey's.

Woke up. Still queen.
Did you just switch over to Office 2010, too? Our office just upgraded to Windows 7 and Office 2010 and I can't figure out how to do anything anymore. It's so frickin' frustrating! I feel your pain!
Things are good for me today. I was supposed to have meetings straight from 9am-3:30pm, and 2 of them got canceled. Hooray! So here I sit slacking off. :-) K and I are going to happy hour tonight with a friend from work, so I'm just counting down til 5:00. Now that Jersey Shore is over, my Thursdays aren't what they used to be. :-P
It is gorgeous today again and supposed to be even nicer tomorrow and I don't work until Saturday! DH is at work this morning for a bit and then we are going to a building supply store to get materials to build a desk. http://www.ana-white.com/2010/03/plans-corner-desktop-for-bedford-system.html
Other than that I am still slowly trying to organize our house and get our spring cleaning done.
Still waiting to talk to my boss about the job he offered me...it's only been a week and a half.
Morning! I made it in today, which is good. H and I had a nice evening last night, just vegging out. He reminded me that those days are numbered, boo.
I'm waiting for my BFF to call me back again - we're playing phone tag - so I can tell her I'm pg. She's got two young kids and ends up doing most of the work, so I know why it's taking a while for us to meet up, but now I'm impatient to tell her.
Excited for Saturday and my haircut. Just the usual, but it's due. And I'll have lunch with my bridesman and other BFF while I'm there.
Mush~Enjoy your lazy do nothing days! Like H warned they will be over! Children are amazing but soon you will be looking forward to the following weekend to nap.
I was totally thinking about that this morning, reading your post about bribing your H to get up with your daughter.
Godspeed on the desk build Excitedbride!
I had lunch with MFD and now I'd like to take a nap. Is that possible?
