Tulsa area

My husband and I might be moving from NY to the Tulsa area. What is there to do around there?

Re: Tulsa area

  • This website really keeps up with what is going on around town, so it may help you out:  http://www.tashadoestulsa.com/

Most of the girls on the Oklahoma board are in the OKC area, so you may not get a ton of responses.  I live in the Tulsa area and would be happy to answer any questions you have.

  • I lived in Tulsa for 23 years before moving to OKC and I LOVED it there!  I've also been to Poughkeepsie too, randomly enough!  haha  I'm obsessed with those cute little Hudson Valley towns like Highland Falls and Sleepy Hollow.  :)

Depends on what you are in to as to whether or not you will enjoy it... There are plenty of trendy restaurants and bars (really good food!), museums and historical points of interest, TONS of live music, the best place in the state to go two-stepping *cough* people watching (Caravan Cattle Co), and the cost of living is so low in OK you will flip out.  There are plenty of nice trendy neighborhoods in the Brookside/Cherry St. area, but most families choose to live in Jenks, Broken Arrow, and Owasso.  I would also be happy to answer any questions you might have and make recommendations for various things (realtors, etc.)
