I just wanted to say thanks for the Sydney recommendations!  Pancakes on the Rocks was only a couple of blocks from our hostel, so we had a nice breakfast there the morning we arrived.  I also picked up some green apple licorice from Darrell Lea - you were right, it is addictive!  I should have gotten more than one bag...

Thanks again!

  • Ooh, good to know!  I'll look for it the next time we are at World Market.  I did bring back some of their black licorice for my office (they had it at duty free when we transited Sydney on our way home), but it's not as good as the green apple.

New Zealand was fantastic - such beautiful scenery!  It was pretty amazing how different the climate/topography was from one place to the next, in a relatively short distance.  I haven't had a chance to upload all of my photos yet (I'm planning to post those and a trip review on the travel board once I get a chance), but if you want to email me at jenn248 at gmail, I can send you the link to what I've uploaded to Facebook so far.

  • Dear Jenn,

My NoVa knowledge is getting rusty...but GA licorice is sold at Fresh Market. Of course, this is only useful if they have FMs in NoVa.  :D

    Green with envy,

  • Thanks, kewlie!  I am not sure if we have Fresh Markets around here or not, but will look into it if I can't find the licorice at World Market (which I know we have!).
