Hi Ladies. I finally switched over from The Knot. I know I know it has been a long time.. but I missed my August 10's! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying wedded bliss! Update me on what's new!! Not much here... still house hunting--- If we ever get out of this tiny apt it will be a miracle!! DH is soooo picky when it comes to house hunting we've been at it for 6-9 months now!! And no baby news yet... but hopefully starting to try in May/June. Oh and just basically Happy that it is finally Spring and starting to warm up in frozen upstate NY!
Re: finally here.
Hey girl! These board definitely aren't as busy as TK boards, but it's a nice place to be all the same.
We've got a few girls who have been actively trying for baby and one or two that are pregnant (I know hinmighty is). DH and I won't begin the baby journey until March of '13.
Hope you're not house-hunting for too much longer! Just remember to tell your husband that things can be fixed in a house -- within reason of course! Sometimes it's hard for people to see the big picture when it comes to homes.
Do the creep.
Nice to have you back!
Good luck on the house hunt. DH and I closed on ours about a week before the wedding, and I was lucky in that he wasn't really picky at all; he just wanted a place for a big TV in the future. Haha. Just stick with it, and you'll find the home that's perfect for you guys!
We also adopted a "kid." His name's Zeke and he's a rescue puppy! No real children for DH and I for a while, but Zeke's the best puppy in the whole world and we love him to pieces.
Hey lady nice to see you! :-)
DH and I just bought our first house; we closed two weeks ago now, and I just luuuurve it. We really lucked out, as it was turn key (in our style no less) and we hadn't been physically looking all that long. Course I stalked redfin religiously for like three months before we were able to start the physical search...California real estate is a whole other thing tho; the stalking is vital! And so is moving fast on something you like.
I hope you have success in that department very soon, as you sound like you've been at it long enough to drive anybody nutso! :-/
I hope that your DH isn't being unreasonable in his particulars...does he have a lot of make or breaks re: a house, or is he just nervous about the cost of it maybe??
What else can I share, hmmm?! Well, DH and I are going to Italy in May, very good stuff, and then we have two weddings to attend in the fall.
Ahhh yes, and GL on TTC, when you do. :-)
Welcome back! And good luck with your house search! We would love to buy a house, but with H back in school, we don't really know where we'll end up, so it makes sense to rent for now. I'm very ready to at least move to a larger apartment!
Our big news is that we are starting to try for a baby this month
Other than that things are same old, same old. My best friend is getting married in June, so I'm having fun helping her plan.
