Baptism

I have a quick question.  Do you need to be a member of the church you plan on baptizing your children at?  This is horrible, but I haven't 'joined' a church since I have moved down here.  I go, just am not part of the parish (I am Catholic).  I have put off getting K baptized, and thought I would try to do both kids once the LO is born.  What's worse is that I went to Catholic grade school and high school.  I need to get back in to it!

I believe at least you or your DH must be. DH is a member where we baptized DS (Sacred Heart), I am not and we had no problems. I really liked the deacon that did the class, too. I don't remember how often they do the class, probably something like once a month, and then we just needed to give them a week's notice of when we wanted to do the baptism.
