Weekend plans?

I know it's late Friday but what are you all up to this weekend?

Today I had my first cavity filled...not fun! They didn't give me novocaine because they didn't think I needed it ugh. My tooth is still sensitive! DH had the day off and is currently napping while I sit here on the computer.

Saturday: Two of my friends and I will be walking in the local Heart Walk for the American Heart Association. I am super excited about it because I am trying (keyword: trying!) to get healthy and I am terrified of heart disease and anything to do with my heart so I am happy to have raised money for this cause. Then we are having a cookout because it is supposed to be in the 60s!

Sunday: Have to do homework I have been putting off ugh! And maybe going to my parent's house for dinner!

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Re: Weekend plans?

  • Well...it looks like the government is shutting down so I'm officially furloughed as of midnight tonight. This weekend will be filled with inexpensive things since I'm not getting paid until the government opens back up.

I do need to head to the farmers market tomorrow to get sweet potatoes and apples (and whatever else looks good) to make more baby food for Liam. And DH wants to go to the pool.

We canceled our cable this week so I'm going to be pouring through netflix and amazon streaming to see what I can add to my queues!

  • Aww Juangela! I've been watching the news today to see what has been happening!

We canceled cable a few months ago to save some money. The only time I really miss it is on the weekends when I'm just hanging out and have more time to actually watch tv.

  • Homework, cleaning, and homework!

Saturday: My final project in my history class is due Tuesday; so, I have to finish "touring" Indy to take a couple more pictures for it.  Maybe I'll also take a look at my commercial project for my textiles class to figure out what I need to do since it's due in a week and a half.

Sunday: Cleaning and groceries.  That seems to be the typical routine.

Somewhere in here, I'll add some exercise and lots of time outside because it's finally going to be in the 80s!!!

  • Tonight, it's dinner with the parents, where I'll beg for $ to support me in the LIVESTRONG ride, and try not to talk politics.  After that, not sure. I had to cancel  my 'hard' ride for tomorrow, so I'll start with either an easy spin in the trainer, or a cruise with DH.  Then (bike bike bike) it's off to the shop for  continuing data on the  search for a new neat. Also,  my dad wants a bike, so I may go with him to protect him from buying something he shouldn't.

Next, dinner and some weekly cooking, then some couch time with DH. It's been a while since I've been home on a Saturday, so I'm looking forward to doing a little nothing. Sunday, it's back to work after 4 days off. It goes by so fast....

Make sure to check your bill or EOB from insurance once you get it to make sure that jerk didn't charge you for anesthetic.  From the stories I've been hearing about dentists lately, it wouldn't surprise me if they charge your insurance for it to make a profit off it while lying to you about what normally happens during a filling.  Thank God I have a decent dentist.

Yikes! I will for sure check that out! Thanks for giving me a heads up. This is the first time I have been to this dentist. We moved and driving over and hour to my old dentist, even though I really liked him, just was not going to work.  I hope this guy isn't a jerk!
