If that was a job description, I'd be the perfect candidate.  In fact, I would be over qualified.  I have had three phone interviews, four interviews and another rejection phone call as of three this afternoon - and this was in the past two weeks.  

"You really impressed us - we love your energy" But we went with an internal candidate......

"with your permission, I'd like to pass along your resume...we'd like to find you a spot in the company"

 Ok, thanks, Mr. but I'd really like a job NOW.

Thank God my vacation has officially started.  I need all the cocktails I can drink.    Speaking of God, I know He has a plan for me, I just wish I knew what that was...

Sorry to hear - my DH is going through something similar.  It's not easy and it's not fun, but we know when the right opportunity comes along, it will all work out.  Positive thoughts for you!

Ugh ugh ugh.  I'm sorry you had such a rotten afternoon.  Enjoy your vacation and I hope that things finally turn up when you return!

So sorry to hear, Jess.  It must be so frustrating to put all the effort into a giant nothing.  Booo.  Something big *must* be around the corner.  Maybe it's waiting until after you and the hubs go on that rockin vacation?!  When I'm feeling down, I think of how my ever positive grandmother (who has dementia) quotes Romans 8:28 about a gazillion times...and yes I mean gazillion...when she senses someone who is down.  Just hearing her repeat herself in a blissful state over and over again makes me smile.

Thanks, girls!  I know I sound like a broken record and I'm sure some of you are like, "oh, great, another whiney post from Jess"  :-)  I can't even tell you how frustrating this whole process is.  I've never felt this kind of failure.

NEVER!  You are an optimistic person who is stuck going through an incredibly difficult job search.  Talking about it with your friends is par for the course.

I think that God wants you to have a FABULOUS child-free vacation with the hubs, without having to worry about an annoying new job.  When you get back, he will send the perfect job your way.
