I went to my first hands-on cooking class today at Sur La Table (I think they're national -- www.surlatable.com).
The theme of the class was Festive Spring Desserts. The class was super cool, especially since (1) the instructor was an old friend from high school, and (2) the only two people who registered were me & my friend! Normally, they would cancel the class if only two people register, but thanks to point #1, they kept the class open for just us!
That was our finished selection: a vanilla-orange bundt cake, a layered chocolate mousse, a coconut pavlova with mango-lime compote, and shortbread with cream fraiche and lavender-infused strawberries.
