I cannot figure it out. We took her to the pediatrician today because all weekend she has been putting her hands/arms over her ears like things are too loud. Thought it was an ear infection (even though she had no temp and was acting completely normal, better to rule it out then let it fester).
So, question is, if it's not an ear infection, why would she keep doing this? MD said perfect looking ears, not any fluid at all.
Things that make you go hmmmmmm
Re: Taylor's ears
I'd don't know...she's your kid!
Helen does stuff all the time that makes no sense to us. At least now she's old enough for us to ask her shy she's doing it.
I have no answer, but I find it interesting because in our pre-appointment questionnaire at Owen's 2-year appt. today, one of the questions asked if he did exactly this. He doesn't, so I glossed over it...but I wonder why they asked?
About a year ago I had a badly blocked ear. I went about a week of trying home remedies before heading into the doctor's to get it flushed out (I have a wicked ear thing and was terrified of the dr. sticking anything in there). After he flushed it out, things sounded REALLY loud! And it was so annoying. My husband even said I was flinching while he talked. It was a day or two before I got used to things sounding normal again.
