Seedling FAIL
I really like starting my garden from seed, but I got tired of trying to keep Little G (14 months) away from the tray of seedlings this year. I had the bright idea to move them to the furnace room, at least until they sprouted. The top of the basement freezer stays really warm, so I figured it would be like a heating pad.
Yeah. And then I forgot to check them for about 8 days.
I went down there today and I have long white shoots with a tiny yellow "leaf" at the end, instead of tomato & pepper seedlings.
I put a couple snap pea & bean seeds in there, until I could put them in a pot for Little G to mess with. Yep, forgot those in there too, and they are ~9" long, also with the yellow "leaf" on the end.
Gah.
