Re: TTC Check In
CD1 came on Friday, the day we were traveling-- joy. Last month and this month have been horrible and painful. I've never cramped like this in my life!!! Now it looks like I'll O sometime on Easter weekend, which is bad timing b/c my sister's family and my parents will all be in and staying with us.... and I feel weird getting it on every single night that they'll be here. Is that odd?
My least favorite part of TTC? The anxiety during O time when you're trying so hard to get the timing right, but all you can do is wait and see if you get a sustained shift. It drives me crazy! It's like a huge sigh of relief once I get CH on my chart.
BFP on 2.2.11
I'm on CD11 today and I am not temping this month and I am loving not having to worry and obsess over it. I haven't heard from my Dr. yet about the hsg on Friday, but the Radiologist told me they were 100% clear and "pretty" and he is the one who reads them, so I'm confident it's good news. He did also tell me after an hsg, some patients conceive rather quickly if all else is relatively normal, so I'm hoping that's the case.
Still no side effects from the Femara again this month, other than being super emotional. In fact, on Friday when I went in for the hsg, I couldn't stop crying (before it started)...not because of the results of the hsg, but because I was nervous for the actual procedure. The nurse thought I was crazy cakes.
I have multiple least favorite things about TTC. Thing one is the cost. To date, we've spent over $2,000 on tests and meds and fully expect to pay much more than that before it's all over. I am well aware that many people have paid a lot more, but it's still very frustrating to have to spend that much money for something that should be so natural.
Thing two is that TTC has destroyed our sex life. We both hate it. Every time we have sex, there is so much pressure to be in the right position, at the right time of day on the right day of the month. It sucks. I really hope that sex will be fun again for us someday.
CD 18 here. No real news.
I hate all the waiting... waiting to O, 2WW, waiting for an egg donor.... waiting, waiting, waiting....
Good luck and baby vibes to all!
AF is just finishing up, so I have about 3 weeks until the next one and we start the IVF cycle. I commented to Drew the other day that I am loving feeling more human lately. As much as taking the breaks suck because I feel like it keeps pushing everything back, it's been really nice to be hormone-free for 2 months. Drew has loved that I've actually been nice lately.
QOTW: I hate the waiting part too. Wait to start treatments, wait for appointments, wait to O, wait to test, wait to get AF, wait to start again. The cost is also pretty sucky for us. I don't even want to add up what we've spent so far because it would make me very depressed. I thank God everyday that IVF is covered by insurance for us.

I think I will be joining the group sooner than I thought. I'm still really bummed about my BFN over the weekend, more than I thought I would be.
Also, I feel horrible saying that I bummed when so many of you are/have struggled for months with TTC.
