ENT Recommendations for vertigo
Does anyone here have an ENT they see in Nova that they like? I've had full blown vertigo for 5 days - I saw my regular doctor last week an they put me on meds for the nausea and said it may be an ear infection and may clear up in a week. Since then, I've spoken to several physician friends who say that ENTs can sometimes do these head maneuvers that get rid of the vertigo without drugs. That would be my dream since I am nursing and am limited in what I can take. Many thanks!
Re: ENT Recommendations for vertigo
I love my ENT, he's in Springfield, so he'd be conveinent for you...
He is a little hard to get into, but if you call and say it's an emergency, they will try to work you in the next day.
I've been seeing him off and on for over 5 years. He did surgery on my deviated septum, and he has recently seen my son for ear infections and possibly tubes. He's great with my son as well.

After I had DD1 I had BPPV (maybe 6 or 7 months after having her). My regular doctor diagnosed adn treated it with head maneuvers. It's way better now - I couldn't move or walk or do anything at the time. But even still, 4 years later, if I tilt my head back at a certain angle I still feel dizzy. And I used to LOVE roller coasters and that kind of stuff and now they make me nauseous

Here's some info on the head maneuvers:

I see Dr. Gurian at ENT NoVa. Their offices are located in multiple places: Falls Church, Herndon, Manassas, and Springfield. I get vertigo often as I have Meniere's disease. The practice came highly recommended and I've been able to get all balance and hearing related tests there.
