I meant to ask you...how are you liking your new MDX?!
Re: *Marion*
I freaking love it!!! It rides so nicely and it just has so many cool tech stuff too. Coming from an old 97 Nissan Altima to an MDX, I can definitely appreciate a lot of things it has. I love driving it more than the our Camry but with gas prices we don't drive it very much because of my commute. Just having my iPhone hooked up to it makes my life so much easier. The audio system is very nice as well.
The only thing that's annoying is the voice command system - it doesn't seem to detect voices very well.
We've been trying to get Olive to ride in the trunk area and she HATES it. The beep it makes whenever you open and close the trunk scares her so we're not sure what to do. Patrick doesn't want her to sit on the actual seats because he doesn't want her to scratch the leather. He's really protective of the seats. We tried crating her in the trunk area but the crate moves around when we drive so we've nixed that idea. The trunk door hit me on the head when it was closing once and I was surprised to find out that it would still try to close even if you put pressure on it to hold it up.

I love mine too!
I haven't even discovered all the cool things about it yet. Lol. I hate figuring out new car stuff!
I feel your pain on the gas! My commute isn't that bad, but gas is still expensive. I tried putting in regular fuel one day, and it started making a clicking noise, so the dealership told me to stick to at least mid-grade. Ooopsy!
I haven't really used the voice command yet...I haven't even stored phone numbers in it either:/
What color are your seats? Mine are light gray leather and my dark jeans have already rubbed off on them (well-mainly just the driver's seat). Fortunately, Lola is small enough to sit on one of our laps, so we don't have to worry about her nails scratching the leather! Could you just let Olive in the back with the seats down? That way she'd have lots of cargo space but wouldn't be on the leather? I know they say it's safer in a crate though....

Thanks! We were thinking of getting one of those gates to block off the rear seats and trunk area after we've trained her more so she's not scared of the noise. It really freaks her out. Now that it's warmer this won't be an issue since we won't be leaving her in the car but she likes to sit in the driver's seat when we leave her in the car so I don't think Patrick would go for that cover. Patrick's also concerned about the doors getting scratched.
Doh! I just saw this, didn't mean to ignore you! I never tried switching fuel types, but with gas prices the way they are, maybe I'll try the mid-grade one. My seats are black. We originally wanted the blue exterior but it only came with the khaki color so our next fave was the gray exterior. We opted for black because it didn't show stains and stuff otherwise I'd have loved to have the light gray! Since we were thinking of having this as a family car, we knew that with kids it would get dirty.
Our sales person helped us set up the system so he helped get my iPhone setup with the car. I only had like 30 something contacts and he teased me about it
