Re: Selling Dresses
I am officially no help as our two year anny is tomorrow, and my dress is still laying under our bed. Opps! ;-)
However I have made a pack with myself to decide one way or another within the next few months what I'll be doing with my dress. I know I won't be selling it, but I'm going back and forth on 1) donating it to a good cause (bride against breast cancer, or something similar) or 2) using it to make a baptism/christening gown for future babies.
I'm interested in what everyone else has done.

we're selling ours to have $ for an album.
i'm not a very sentimental person so having a dress that sits in my closet for the rest of forever doesnt make much sense when another bride can use it and the $ can be put to something that has a much higher priority for me (a nice album).

I'm keeping mine. I don't know really why or what I will ever do with it, but I am not ready to give it up.

I'm not giving mine up. I'm way too sentimental and I just love my dress. K has mentioned selling hers but I dont' think she'll do it on her own. It would have to be something I set up and did for her and I just don't think I'll do it.

I kept mine for about 2 years after the wedding. And then we moved. In the culling process, I realized it was just taking up space and I wasn't going to wear it again. So off it went with 4 bridesmaid dresses that I'd worn in friends weddings to www.makingmemories.org.
3 years later, I don't regret it.
Ohh, MM is where I was thinking about donating mine!

I really should sell mine. I mean, I will never wear it again. BUT, it is just so beautiful. Then I would feel guilty bc my dad bought it for me...
I mean, do I give him the money???
ahhahaha. no.
the answer is no.
