We bought a new couch and chair from Dock 86 and it was delivered this weekend. I'm really excited, as we've been gearing up for a bit of house re-decoration this spring and this is the first step.
We're getting the entire inside painted next month, and the sittingroom area (no tv) will be a medium brown.
Our old furniture (now for sale):
And here's our super comfy new couch:
And our new chair that bought knowing we were going re-upholster it. I'm told the pattern is "chinese masks," but I just see angy jellyfish with upside bats on their heads.
The whole room, with the chair covered in a brown and cream blanket. There will be a beige glider where the IKEA chair is.
Re: New furniture this weekend! PIP
Sorry ladies, sometimes the Nest hates my work computer. Trying again, but if it doesn't work, they're also on my blog: http://hkiesling.weebly.com/blog.html

That couch is very unique! Cool!
And lol at "Angry jellyfish with bats on their heads" :-)
I like! Isn't new furniture so fun?
I need some new chairs for our sunroom. How much are you selling your IKEA sliders for?
I've been kind of stupidly excited about getting these pieces. They're a great mix of formal and comfy, since this isn't the tv-watching area. The cushions are all wrapped in down feather pads. The cats have pretty much staked their claim on the chair, and it's been in constant rotation since we got it.
We're asking $125 for the IKEA set: two chairs and one ottamon and $100 for the couch. The pads were bought maybe 1.5 years ago, and they're in pretty good shape. They each of a tiny bit of scratch marks on the bottom back edge of the cushion where the cat tried scratching one day and decided she didn't like scratching it. But of course, a little damage was done. It's not too noticable though.
Hmmmm. Notta bad price for the chairs.
I'll talk to the H and see what he thinks. Right now we have a twin bed in our three season porch (where my little brother crashed with us last summer) and it has become quite in non-functional room.
Hopefully I'll be able to take them off your hands, but I'll let you know
