So I almost blew up my microwave yesterday

I feel as thought everyone could use a good laugh today, so I'm going to share my stupidity with you!

It's actually kinda funny in hindsight....

So I was softening butter in the microwave for my buttercream icing, and not thinking I put a foil wrapped stick of butter (the other ones I had were wax paper wrapped, in my defense!) in the microwave. About 5 seconds in I heard a huge BOOM! only to see that the butter was sparking! So I smartly stopped the microwave (I know I'm a genius, right?) and threw some water on the butter. No harm done, but I seriously can't believe I did that! I just have to laugh at myself for it. What else can you do?!

I hope this made you all chuckle a bit Any one else care to share a moment of stupidity?

Maybe it's pregnancy brain!  My friend swore her IQ dropped at least 15 points when she was pregnant.

I don't have a stupid moment (just wait 5 minutes...lol) but I have one from DH.  I called him from Target and asked him which Pepsi product he wanted since we had a coupon for a free 2 liter.  He said Coke.  hehehe.

I almost blew up a microwave too.  I was running late for a meeting and brought hot chocolate with me to work. We had moved over the weekend (this was last year) and I couldn't find a measuring cup.  I heated it up in the lounge microwave and when I went back the microwave was off which was weird.  So i used my friend's microwave and there were flames shooting from the bottom of the mug.  The bottom of the cup shot off and HC went everywhere including under the microwave.  It had metal on the cup.  Whoops.  We still use the microwave everyday though and it still works!!! :-)
