IVF/IUI recs

I know a lot of you ladies on here have had to use IVF/IUI and was wondering if you could give me some recommendations. What offices do you absolutely recommend and which ones should I stay away from? I live in E Mesa and would prefer to stay in the East Valley, but am willing to drive for a great office! TIA!

Re: IVF/IUI recs

  • Arizona Reproductive Medicine Specialists. And I know MrsLisaP will second this one! They do have an office in Chandler where you can do stuff like ultrasounds, consults, and bloodwork done, but all of the actual procedures are done at their Phoenix office near the 51 and Thomas, which is where I went. It's really not a bad drive and well worth is! Good luck sweetie. I'm sorry you may have to go this route.
  • I'm another ARMS user.  They have offices in Chandler and Scottsdale but their main one is in Phoenix as MrsNolan mentioned.  I know they do some procedures 7 days a week as I've had to go down to the Phoenix office on a Sunday for a u/s.

Sorry to hear you're looking into this route.

  • I have my follow up with the OB that did my surgery next week and we'll talk more. But she definitely says I need to go to an IVF specialist to get more information and run more tests. She recommends Dr Craig and he is at Arizona Fertility Specialisits. I did look up ARMS and I like how they do patient seminar where you get food (yay!!!) and dicuss the different treatment options and what to expect. However, I'm on pelvic rest for 6 weeks so I won't start anything until then. I feel like I'm ok with going this route because it's not that uncommon and people are more open about talking about it and don't feel ashamed.

  • I would recommend ARMS as well- it's where we were going to do protocol.  I'm so sorry to hear about this new turn in your journey, though I do have to say, as you mentioned, infertility seems to be a tie that binds.  The women I've met through this journey are some of the kindest, sweetest, most compassionate women I know who understand why some days are better then others and why some things just hit deep in the core.  It is absolutely not something to be ashamed of.  Praying for you!

  • I'm sorry you may have to go this route. but I would recommend AZ fertility specialists. We saw Dr Craig and loved his practice. He came up with a great game plan for us and his office was wonderful to work with. We obviously had a positive experience and got instant results and he didn't take our insurance so everything was out of pocket for us.

we saw another Dr up in scottsdale and he had a fairly new practice but he was awful and we left there feeling really down and hopeless so Dr Craig totally lifted us out of that slump. his name was Dr Ryclik (i caution you to stay away from that clinic)

I'm very open to discussing any questions. let me know (we could meet up at Starbucks for that coffee finally) Wink

My SIL went to Dr Craig for both of her IVF's.  They had great results too, a singleton the first round and triplets the second.  I was considering them but they were not on our insurance and I had a previous PCOS consult years ago with Dr Moffit at ARMS so those 2 factors are why they won out over Dr Craig.

I was originally referred to Dr. Craig by my OB, but turns out they didn't accept my insurance (not that much was covered anyways!) so thats how I ended up at ARMS. I'm sure that Dr. Craig is awesome too.

  • I am sorry to hear you are having to start going the RE route.

I second staying away from Dr Ryclik...I was with Dr Craig/Dr Ryclik when they shared a practice and have chosen not to go back to that office due to Dr Ryclik...they are no longer in the same office...so don't worry about that.

I shopped around quite a bit for different REs in the valley and I ended up going with Dr Nemiro's office in North Scottsdale...which as you know is nowhere near our homes, but financially they are GREAT. I have been completely out of pocket and there are been 4-5 appointments that I have gone for cyst checks and they have not charged me as they consider them "random ultrasounds".  They also take their initial consult fee and reapply it as credit toward services which is nice.

One thing I do recommend is to shop around and see if you are comfortable with the dr.  I personally ended up going to 3 offices before choosing one.  You have to be comfortable as you will end up spending A LOT of time there and they will see you through a lot of good and bad times.

Please let me know if I can help with anything.  I am happy to answer any questions you have.
