I was laughing so hard at this this morning, poor Clint. Note: we bought our house from a guy named David, in June 2009.
An elderly lady rings the doorbell. Clint answers.
Lady: oh hello! I'm looking for David.
Clint: Sorry, David doesn't live here anymore.
Lady: oh! are you sure?
Clint: yes, we bought this house from him 2 years ago.
Lady: Well I haven't visited in a while. Could you check and see if he's here?
What part of "he doesn't live here" is so confusing?!
Re: Funny story
LOL
We have an older man that calls our house phone all the time asking for Clarence. I explain to him every.single.time that Clarence hasn't had that number for over 4 years now. He keeps calling. He seems nice though, maybe we should hang out.
Awww....poor cute old lady!
We frequently get messages for the people that used to have our phone number and those people have some major dramz in their life! And I don't know why people haven't yet figured out that the phone number has changed....it's entertaining though!

I get a voicemail on our home phone at least once a week from a bill collector. The automated voice says "This is a message for [pause] something J. Farley. If you are not [pause] something J. Farley, please disregard this message. If you are [pause] something J. Farley, please call [number]." I tried calling a few times to get off their call list, but no one ever picks up the phone. It's really annoying. Wish I was home someday when they called so I could explain that something doesn't live there anymore.
I also get calls on my cell regularly from an old greek lady who doesn't speak english well. No idea who she is. Maybe we can set her up with Clarence?
