How is everyone this morning? I had to come in early because boss had to go do something. So I have about another hour to myself.

I need more coffee.

I have a meeting tonight that I'm worrying about. I have to present and argue for something that I believe in, but I don't think it's going to go over very well. And it can be a hostile audience.
I wore a power suit today to give me confidence (and hopefully the allusion of authority).
Good luck! You'll be great.

Good Luck Kasa!
I slept like a rock last night due to my lack of sleep the night before. It was wonderful.
And the new Foo CD comes out today and I will be running to the store to purchase.
good luck Kasa.
I'm trying not to panic. I logged into my work FB page and everything is gone. There is no posts and the majority of my pictures are gone. I'm hoping it is a glitch and stuff will reappear later today.
SO FUN!! Are you feeling the movements yet?

Gvsu - glad your FB page is back online. That would be scary!
TheWop - glad to hear you had a fun ultrasound!
Oh, absolutely! Baby usually has crazy active time from about 9:30 am-11:00 am, 3:00 pm-4:00 pm, and 8:30 pm-9:30 pm. Baby has been kicking/punching hard lately too, not just little flutter movements.
YAY! How exciting! Did you have to encase that envelope in cement because I don't think I would be able to get through the day and not look at it.
LOL. Nope, it's just sitting in the front seat of my car! We probably won't open it until around 7:00 tonight, too. We have Houston's annual vet appt after work, so we have to wait a little longer.
I ate three cinnamon rolls this morning. I keep forgetting that I cannot skip meals or indulge in sugar because my blood sugar gets out of whack.
Now I'm sick and I'm hungry...I want to eat very bad, but I'm afraid that the blood sugar is still high and I'll jack it up higher.

Any thoughts on this duvet cover?

I really like it and am considering ordering it, but it's higher price than I would like to spend. But our walls are golden, I want to get gray curtains, gray sheets and I feel like this would match well.
Decisions, Decisions.
Do you let your dogs on the bed? If you do, I would stay away from white. That white will get dingy before you know it, even if you think you have the cleanest dogs.
If your dogs aren't allowed on the bed, that would look really nice.
No dogs allowed on the bed, but I am still leary of the white for that reason. I was aiming for a gray base on the comforter, but I really like the pattern and colors in that one and haven't really seen a lot that I like. I sent the link to Andy so we'll see what he thinks. :-)
That is actually a great deal considering you get the shams and a deco pillow. I think the deco pillows were like $20 for our set alone (wedding registry or otherwise we probably wouldn't have bought them ourselves). Go for it.
Gosh, even with the best care, I feel like that would get stained with animals even if they're not allowed on the bed. My dog leaves eye booger stains on our duvet all the time, and sometimes puts her paws on the bed to get our attention. We have a light blue base to our duvet and I'm always paranoid it's going to get stained. Once Nick had a scrape on his leg from softball and put a giant blood stain on it and I didn't see it until the next morning. Thankfully I had some awesome stain remover (from Amway, I'm sure you have the same *wink*) and it came right out. I'm pretty sure I'm just a giant spaz though.
And I agree, $90 is a pretty good deal for that set. I would try going to Macy's and digging through their clearance section if you get a chance also. I got a king size duvet and 2 shams for $55 (I had to sign up for a Macy's card too, but it was totally worth the $15 savings)
Cool idea! Was Mr. Wop not able to be at the ultrasound, or did you just want a more private time to find out the gender?
I have a friend who found out his wife was having twins by accident...she was called in to have an additional ultrasound because the doctors wanted to check something out. So he got there first and was in the waiting area...the nurse comes out and has their chart and goes, "Oh, are you the one who's having twins?" He gives her a blank stare....she turns red and says, "Oops, I don't think I was supposed to say that!" and ran back into the office.
Well it's a good thing we never get injured, so we should be all set!
/sarcasm
Toby does put his paws up there sometimes and G has hopped in once or twice and the kitties sleep up there so . . . grrrr, I don't know. I really like it but I don't really like cleaning.
Andy responded that he thinks it's nice.
I'll just hem and haw over it for awhile here.
What about cats on the bed? We have a light colored duvet color and it gets some marks (and a lot of black hair) on it from the cats. It's not too bad though.
I think this duvet cover would help create a bright and cheery room.
Our comforter is reversible, and we decided last month to flip it to the cream side for the first time (in 7 years) for something different.
Yeah, it took about 2 weeks for the cream to turn gray from cat fur.
We have a light blue duvet, no dog on the bed, but we do allow a child on there (haha!). It hasn't gotten dirty at all and I really love it. I agree that $90 is a great deal for that. It's cheaper than an actual comforter and can be washed and changed easily.
Mr. Wop was present at the ultrasound, we just both had to go to work right after and we wanted to have some time together to really let our emotions fly, so we're waiting until tonight.
What's that mean?
Juli - It's time to 'grow up" and buy a big girl comforter. ha ha. Do it! You don't have to spend a lot on home decor. My suggestion would be to buy one "investment' piece for each room, whether that be a rug, piece of art work, walling hanging, or comforter and go from there.
If you guy that comforter, you can pick up additional things here and there. The design is in the comforter, so you can buy some "plainer" sheets, pillows, etc for a good deal.
