Is this for real?!

We have used All Pro Servicenter in the past for oil changes. While we have used a couple locations (Ankeny and Merle Hay), we aren't necessary loyal to them. In fact, we still use my dad the majority of the time since he gladly does it for free.

Last night I received a letter with a gift card attached for All Pro Servicenter thanking us for our business and for being preferred customers. It looks legitimate, but the gift card is for a very large amount. Because of that, I question if it's real.

I'd love for it to be real! We are both overdue for oil changes, my cruise control needs looked at, and I may need my tires changed.

The obvious thing would be to call All Pro Servicenter and ask, but I won't be able to call until after 3. Have any of you gals experienced something like this with the company? Or heard anything about it?

Re: Is this for real?!

  • I hope that it's for real!  What a nice surprise!  The 1st question that popped into my head is...do you have to spend a certain amount (possibly a lot over the gift card amount) to be able to use it?

Hopefully when you call, it's good news!

  • No, I read the fine print and there is no minimum purchase required. The only strings attached are that it expires in 11 months and that you can't use coupons or special discounted rates.

It even comes with a 15% off services and parts if you remember to present the card when you first get there.

  • We got that too.  I understood it as 15% off your bill up to $500.  Not just a $500 gift card.  I got excited at first too :)

Aha. Maybe that's what it is. Not nearly as exciting. Man, I was hoping I could get my cruise control fixed!
