When did your doctor say that you couldn't fly anymore? I have a call in to mine to double check but I just wanted to see what others said...

I *think* mine said I could fly all the way up to 36 weeks. I lied to work though and said 30 so I wouldn't have to go on anymore trips.

LOL ok.I should be ok then. My boss may want me to go to Brazil to train some people in August

I thought it was somewhere 30-34 but can't remember. I was told to refrain from it all together so I can't remember for sure (my circumstances are different though)

It does seem to fluctuate from what I googled.

I was told to avoid it in the third trimester but if I have to, I can up until 35 weeks.

BabyCenter doesn't recommend traveling past 36 weeks (not saying that they're the ultimate experts). My understanding is that they don't want you traveling past 36 weeks because they don't want you to go into labor while away or on the plane (holy crap!).

Yikes that would be scary Dani. The latest I would go would be 30 weeks, so I think I should be alright. But knowing my boss I won't even go. He is a lot of talk and not a lot of action sometimes =/

Mine said not to travel after 35-36 weeks.  I have a wedding in Michigan between 35-36 weeks and need to see what she says tomorrow. 

Airlines will allow you up to 7 days before delivery if you have a doctors note. Crazy if you ask me.

Doc called back and said 35 weeks, so I am good to go in August, if it comes to fruition.

And OMG 7 days is craziness!

My doctor had an issue when we drove from PA to IN (13 hours) when I was 10 weeks pregnant, so I didn't even bother asking about flying after the driving question was answered.

35 weeks for us. Dana that is crazy! What of he said about use driving 8 hours at 8 1/2 months!

My guess would be that this was more about the length of time that you would have been cramped in a car. 13 hours is a long time. He was probably concerned about blood clots. When I flew in Feb for a 9 hour flight, my doc told me to get up a lot and to take a baby aspirin to thin my blood.

I think the MW said comfortably up to 32 weeks, but flight attendants work up until 36 (or 38?) weeks without harm to them or the baby so basically it was up to me. Like someone else said it becomes more a matter of not wanting to deliver on the plane lol. I forget how far along I was when we flew to Pittsburgh, I think it was fairly close to that 32 week mark.
