Need a dermatologist asap please

Since October I have been having severe dry, red, itchy eyes. Its not actually the eye, its the eye lid and under my eye. Its just getting worse. When I use my makeup remover to take off my masacra it feels like I have a million cuts on my eye and I'm pouring alcohol over it. Does anyone have a dermatologist that they can recommend. I would like to get in asap. I have called around and the wait is insane! Thanks

We go to Dermatology Professionals in East Greenwich. Both DH and Benjamin go, and they have been great! DH saw a nurse practioner (I think thats what she was?) to have a mole removed, and Ben see Dr. Kathleen Cordova. I think they had a big wait list, but if you don't need to see any of the actual Dr's you may get in earlier?

no recommendations - but i was just reading about how there is a shortage of dermatologists in the nation. I believe the average wait to see one in RI was about 30 or 50 days - in boston it was 75!!!!

I think everywhere you'll have to wait. Could you see your GP?

or just stop wearing mascara for a few days/weeks until they heal at least a little

could it be your makeup causing the problem? Idk if you know this but I read one time that you should change your mascara and other eye makeup every 3 months or so, because bacteria that live on your eyelashes, etc get transferred to the brush and then to the bottle, and multiply in the bottle...(gross, I know) but I just wanted to throw that out there in case this might be an easy solution to your eye issues. As far as dermatologists go, try calling Dr. Dana Hall, 351-0515. She's on Atwood Ave, in Johnston, and I got right in with her as a new patient when I called.
