Spaghetti sauce in slow cooker

I am making spaghetti sauce now so we can play outside without worrying about making dinner.  Should I just warm it up on the stove or put it in the slow cooker to keep it warm until dinner?  Also could I put the cooked spaghetti in the slow cooker or would the pasta become overdone?

Re: Spaghetti sauce in slow cooker

  • I would just keep it in the slow cooker until dinner- one less dirty pot to clean! Also, I've tried making spaghetti in the slow cooker before and it was a disaster. The noodles soaked up a ton of sauce and got dried out. I'd suggest either using a TON of sauce/water to prevent drying out, or cook the noodles separately
