So, I just wanted to say that I miss my early morning gal, Bobbileigh. So glad she'll be joining us soon when she returns from her HM ![]()
Also, I'm going on my second day of going to school without a lick of makeup-this is an absolute first for me. And I'm working on my second degree. Soooo...that's a lot of years of school! I owe this all to the Clarisonic! Maybe it's just the placebo effect, but even so, if it makes me feel that good about my skin, it's worth every penny! I have always been the type that never felt very confident to leave my house without makeup unless I was just running to the store, or working out, etc.
Oh, and one test down, two to go today. Send some good vibes out for me around 9am today pleeeeeease, ladies. I'll need them! Then tonight, DH and I are going on a date and I'm getting a much deserved glass of wine after the last few days! 4 tests in 3 days...no bueno.
Happy Wednesday!
Re: SA Wednesday
Hee, I go without makeup much more than I wear it. I just don't have the energy for it every day anymore.
Speaking of which, I have been asleep by 9:30 every night this week. I don't know what is wrong with me.
Last night I had a dream that Ben and I got married again "just for fun." And I was mad at Lynn because my pictures weren't as good as the first time.
With All the Trimmings
Just do it!
So glad to hear that you are having good results! You just may inspire me to go make-up less to work one day soon.
I am bummed that I will be out of town this weekend and miss Art in the Square in Southlake. This is one of my favorite outdoor festivals all year and I won't be here to enjoy it. Boo.

I wear make-up like maybe once a week and only eye make-up then. Luckily my skin has been clear most of my life. Yes, I do understand how incredibly lucky this makes me.
I had some small drama at work and went to my boss about it. Our office is literally 5 people so I really didn't want to, but I also didn't feel like I should let things go to the extent I had been. I just hope it doesn't become big drama.
Ahh! I know!! I'm just ready for it to be here so I can have fun and stop planning! :-) My FI has a friend he invited who said he wasn't bringing a date. I double checked with him like 3 times. Then last night he sends my FI a message asking if he could bring a date. I told him no because we just turned in the head count. :-p

I was so glad to be done planning!
RE: Extra date - I would let him bring the date... people that RSVP'd yes won't show (it's bound to happen)... and you have already paid anyway! Unless, it's not worth the stress of the re-doing the seating chart.

Ahh, I want to go to "Art in the Square" ... thanks for the reminder Sara!
Haha - the worst spokeswoman ever - "I left it in the box forever..." -
I kid, Summer.
Everytime I read these posts about the Clarisonic I always think of a giant Crest Spinbrush for your face. It makes me laugh.
Hmm that's a good point! Maybe I will. It just made me mad that I asked 3 times....and he wanted to do it last minute! :-)

Sarah - I would go ahead and let him, too. I had someone ask me if they could bring one at the last minute. I told him he would have to sit wherever there was an open spot for dinner and he was cool with it.
Sure enough, one family friends date had to be away on business and another had broken his leg or something that day. It worked out fine.
Stephie - Ha that's a funny dream. I actually never had any wedding nightmares, but just a few random WR dreams. :~)
Sarah - YAY girl, I'm so excited for you! Don't worry about that extra date, we had about 10 people not show up to the wedding. You are going to love being done with the planning part it is such a great feeling!
I made dinner last night for my mom and DH! Homemade meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans. It was delicious!
Did anyone else cook last night?
Sarah - we had a lot of people not show up and a lot of people show up who RSVP'd no. It was annoying, but by then I didn't care anymore.
I did not cook dinner. I worked until 8 and then we went to Village Burger Bar, which btw, Brianna, is very delicious and right across the street from your office.
A tad pricey, though.
I ate at Sal's Pizza (next door to Village) on Monday. It's yummy!
Have you ever had Kinney's Burgers? It's down Legacy on the corner of Legacy and 121 (Cantina Laredo shopping center), but it is SO GOOD.

Sarah - We also had about 6 or so people not show up who RSVP'd Yes. Honestly, and this sounds terrible, but the only way I knew they weren't there was when I saw their escort cards still sitting on the hall table as we were leaving.
DH had a cousin who was going through a divorce and ended up bringing his new girlfriend, her two kids and his two kids when he RSVP'd for 1, so the no-shows filled themselves.
I didn't cook either. I did a 45 minute run/walk and was hot and tired so DH and I went to Chick Fil A so I could continue my love affair with the Berry Balsamic Vinaigrette.
Tonight is a cook (grill) night though - we are having lemon pepper tilapia and roasted potatoes and carrots.
Yummy! I love tilapia!
Sorry to hijack the thread and make it WR....we can commence the NWR talk now :-p

Summer - Hush up about the Clarasonic!! Your making it very hard for me NOT to buy one!
Mandaroo - We made Turkey Meatloaf last night and hominy...I was going to make broccoli and squash with it but I was too lazy to wash, cut up and boil....so I just threw the hominy from a can into a pot and heated it up...TA-DA! haha
Oh my gosh, yes. It is SO delicious. I'll have to try Sal's pizza. I love pizza.
We were supposed to cook tacos last night but neither of us left work until close to six so we met at Fuddrucker's. I did have the bison though.
Sara,
Thank you for talking about Art in the Square because now I know to avoid STC this weekend. Too. Many. People.
And lastly....
Don't tell me that we need to do something where we would need an application process and then tell me "But I'm not going to do it." Well, you know what? I'm not going to do it either. And also, I'm sorry that you don't have any daughters so you don't get to do the fun girly things but it's the kids' prom, not yours. No, you don't get to have a say in it.
Avoid FW, too. Main Street Art Festival there from Thursday to Sunday night.
FW TOO?! Oh my goodness.
I need some art for above my mantle. I want to find an artist who is just starting out who might be some legendary artist some day.
I'll be realistic and say I'll probably end up buying something affordable from Garden Ridge, but hey, a girl can dream right?
Get your dream on, girlfriend.

I always say I want to do this, too. I want to support local artists. Then I find the perfect picture and look at the price tag. If they are just starting out, then why is it still so expensive?
Does your husband not have a copy of the dogs playing poker painting? I mean, that's classy and so timeless. Everyone loves that picture!
This times 1000.
YES! I mean for the size of picture I need (and seeing how it is the centerpiece of our living room) I'd probably pay $500 for "real" art....but I don't usually see things less than $1000....and even that is a stretch.
I'd hate to bargain too...seeing as how they put their heart into those paintings.
ETA: Oh, I almost forgot! Re: Dog's Playing Poker... actually, this is weird, but no! Not even any light up beer signs. My DH actually has better taste in design and style than I do.
Art Work - check out Hobby Lobby and TJ Maxx/Ross/Kohls too!
