Annual or perennial? What zone? How big?

  • I would prefer perennial but annual will due.

    I'm zone 6.

I need something viney for one planter and then something that can up to 1 foot tall in another.

  • Caldiums are super easy and come in many different colors. I put some in pots on my back porch (shaded) and they did great.

  • Begonias come in red, do well in shade and can get up to 1 foot tall.  They're generally annuals in most climates though.
