DH Got a New Job!
I'm SO excited! He's been looking for years! While this still isn't what he set out to do (which was teach high school history), it's a major pay increase and it's a much larger company which has more potential for growth, promotion, etc.
The way their insurance is set up is that the employees get $600/mo. Whatever doesn't go to insurance, they get to take home. DH and I are both on my work's insurance so this is all to take home! He's getting paid more per hour now too, and it's 5 days a week instead of just 4 that he gets now! And, for whatever reason, they pay for lunches and they have a fully stocked kitchen for breakfast and snacks - our grocery bill should go way down, haha!
I'm so excited for him because it's a great change. It's seems like a great company who is really interested in keeping employees happy. Plus, the HUGE pay difference is almost enough to change our lives. Assuming it works out, this would help us to start down the road of a house and kids some day.
He's resigning tomorrow at his current job. I'm not sure if they'll just tell him to leave then or not. He thinks they will but I think they'll make him work for his 2 week notice.
Anyway, I'm super excited!
