Guess who is handing in her resignation on Friday?
Yes, I'm done. It's time for me to stop complaining about the way I'm treated and show my boss that it's unacceptable by letting her know that I will be quitting.
I'm having a VERY hard time with this. I don't owe her anything, I know that we can make it work on me just working some Elance jobs, yet I still feel guilty and like I'm obligated to stay. I'm basically in a verbally abusive relationship with this woman and she has a hold on me.
I also have to tell Lucie's daycare provider that we will no longer be needing her. She's amazing and I know she relies on our paying her so I'm feeling very guilty about this too but I hope she'll understand and be able to find another kid to take in.
I just have to look forward to a few weeks from now when I am going to be so much happier and spending so much more time with Lucie. My mum will continue to come up one day so I can work from home and I may give in and take her to MIL one day and go to my parents' house and work.
Re: So....
Snuggle.
All this. you can do it Caroline! Just stay strong. And DO NOT LET HER TALK YOU OUT OF IT! You need to get out of there.

Charlotte Lillian will be forever in our hearts.
Baby #3 - Little Bean - natural miscarriage - 1/17/11 @ 5w5d
That's great news! I was in a similar situation with a job, this guy treated me like crap every day. After a year of this, I got fed up and finally quit one day. It felt good to leave it all behind, and move on. I just couldnt take the disrespect anymore. You will feel the same when you leave
GL!
I agree!
Are you giving her 2 weeks or just quitting on the spot? If you give her 2 weeks and she gets even worse, get out! You will have a great ref. from the board of the organization, so you don't need to take 2 more weeks of her mistreating you!
Excellent!!! I'm so glad to hear this.
And like Heather said, don't feel too bad about the daycare. I'm sure she'll find another child to watch pretty quickly! And you could always consider still letting her take Lucie for a day once a week or whatever.
