Decorating question

Our nursery bedding came today! Yay! But I have a decorating question. Here is the bedding:

You can kind of see that the pink is more of a dusty rose/pink. Do you think that it'll look ok with this wall color?

We haven't painted the nursery yet, so I think we could take our paint back and have them darken it a bit. But I'm not sure if that's a good idea or not. Please help!

Re: Decorating question

  • Hmm...I do think a darker pink would look better...I love the top color in the first photo.  Do you like that?
  • I agree with Ashley on this one...I think a darker may be a really nice contrast. Maybe it's my computer, but the one you posted seems kind of paler pink, right?

Right, it's definitely a pale pink. I'm going to see if they can tint the one I already bought. If not then that's the color that's going up! I'm not paying $30 for a new can of paint!

  • I would try to darken it.

  • I agree, darker is better.  Hope they can add a little color to it.
  • We went back tonight with a piece of the bedding and compared it to the paint chip. It's actually a lot lighter and has more of a purple tone than the picture shows. I think it'll be ok. I carried it around the store looking at it while DH got his other stuff, and decided I liked the two together. Hopefully that transfers to the actual walls. If not, DH is repainting Big Smile That room doesn't get a lot of natural sunlight, so it'll look more muted anyway. Fingers crossed!
