Price match question

You know how walmart, target, etc all say that they will match any advertised price?  I assume this means when the discount is in the form of a percentage off of a single item?

For example, TRU often advertises items like little tikes, BOGO, but then they conveniently run out of anything you'd actually want to buy before you can get there (even if you are there the first day, but i digress).  If you bring this add into walmart, is there any chance they'd honor the BOGO?   I knowI should call, but thought id check here first to avoid looking dumb

They will only honor BOGO if the ad has a specific price listed for the item.

I went to TRU Sunday late afternoon.  There was only one thing I kind of was interested in for Little Tikes.  Very disappointed in the selection.  Most things We have something similar to but a different brand.  I was hoping to bday shop for C.

Not to sound spotty, but did you check the south side TRU? I've not seen them be out is stuff.

I don't know why I have never thought of this, especially since I'm pretty sure my mom has mentioned this to me as well.  It usually takes me about 3 trips to TRU to find what I want. Fortunately, I live maybe 2 miles from the WDM one, so it isn't a huge burden to make extra trips.

Thanks for the offer victoria!  I actually don't know what I am looking for, I just ilke a good deal.    I actually didn't know there was a TRU on the southside, the only time I've been there is to go to the zoo or airport.  I would have no idea where I was going, and it is actually kind of hard for me to get to the TRU in WDM w/ the girls. hah!  But I will definitely file that info away for future use.  I was really just secretly hoping that target would honor the BOGO that TRU offers b/c I find myself at target all the time.
