F/U to Missing Students Post

If you remember a couple of weeks ago I posted about two of my students that no one heard from and some of the staff went to the house and had no luck.  Well, after 7 weeks we finally heard from them.  They moved 3 hours away and didn't bother telling anyone.  Thankfully we know now so we can stop worrying if they are okay!  Anyways...just thought I should update you ladies.

But if they went to a new school....wouldnt there have been a reccord request? idk this is just weird to me....glad you heard from them tho

Weird.  Glad they are safe.  You'd like to think that if the kids were going to move that they or their parents would have said SOMETHING especially in the middle of the school year.  Didn't you say that even their neighbors and family hadn't heard from them?

I wonder if the parents were in some financial trouble, and their house was about to be foreclosed on or something, so they took off?  That's the first thing I thought of when you posted about this originally.  I'm glad to hear they're ok.

There was no records request so I do not know if they were not in school for those weeks while no one heard anything from them.  The dad was not in good health and was in the hospital.  The mom is bipolar so we think part of the reason we did not hear from them is because she just did not think about it.  Not sure though.

I was waiting for this post. Glad you heard from them. Very strange though. I am still not convinced they are ok- but I'm glad they have been heard from.
