harris teeter anyone?

harris teeter is opening at the end of the month in my town. anyone know anything about it? i know it's a grocery store, and i think i heard it's cheap. but i'm not sure if it's like whole foods or shoppers, or what.

I love HT!! There aren't any around me though. We go to the one down in DE when we are at the beach. Im not sure that they are cheaper then.other stores. They have great selections though. I heard they are supposed to put one in Harbor East but that's kinda far for me to go grocery shopping. Id say its like a smaller version of weigmans.

My friends may or may not call it Hairy Teets.

 

It is more pricey than like a walmart supercenter or whatever.

cool. i have never been to wegmans, but i hear good things. so what's different about harris teeter vs. a regular grocery store?

Nothing really. Harris Teeter is kind of like Publix, Winn Dixie, Food City, Kroger. 

We had them in SC and we call it "Hairy Tweeter" and we call Publix "Pube-ix".

I went to the Teet all the time when I lived in NC.  Loved it!  I thought it was a little nicer than Publix or other supermarkets.  Not quite like Fresh Market or Whole Foods, though.  The lighting they use is more flattering than the usualy flourescent, which is probably what made everything look nicer.  Make sure to get one of their cards - they have great sales every week.  Oh, and they usually have extensive take-out sections.
