rosy baby cheeks...

equals a tooth?

I've read this all over the...ahem..internet, which of course makes it true. lol. But I noticed Allison's left cheek has been rosy on and off all weekend. This the same side that a tooth has been sloooowly cutting through and the same side that she holds when she does her 'pain' cry.

So is this just an old wives tale? Or have you found it in your child(ren)?

Re: rosy baby cheeks...

  • Oh poor A!  Hope she's not bothered too much longer by this darn tooth.  I had never heard of this rosy cheek thing...sorry I'm no help!  XOXOXO
  • I haven't heard that one...lol.  But, all the others (runny nose, drooling, gnawing like no tomorrow and one time a little fever) Katie had, even though they say that they are not related.  I am certain that they are true.

  • Celeste has had red cheeks on and off since the day she was born. I've just thought it was dry skin so I put Aquaphor. So far it works then it comes back again. Currently she's had this horrid cold-runny nose and all. So I thought the red cheeks are from her smearing all that gooey stuff from her nose. If she going to have more teeth-ai ai ai. Actually when her two bottom teeth came out I had no idea. Now she has 4 total. I will keep an eye out for more teeth breaking through. I hope that the red cheeks go away enough to take some decent birthday pics.

Are you using those things they put on gums to help with the pain?

  • Madi has had rosy cheeks since Saturday, I thought they were chapped. Never heard that it may be teething.
  • She's got the drooling, runny nose, and she's got her fist in her mouth ALL the time! It's soooo sad when she cries and holds her cheek. It's so cute and breaks my heart at the same time.

Now I can't remember where I read the rosy cheek 'theory'...... but I've read it in a few different places.

  • Sorry I am n o help either never occurred in Jacob.
  • Omg Taline's left cheek has been extra rosy too the last few days! I haven't noticed a tooth coming through or not but if I see something I'll definitely post it. How funny if they got their first teeth at the same time!
