OB-GYN Doctor Recs???
Hey everyone!
Does anyone have any recommendations for really good OB-GYN doctor(s) is the San Antonio area (femail preferred)? We moved here to Boerne and are looking at TTC soon and I dont know anything about S.A. Doctors. Please let me know if anyone can help me out!

A lot of us go to NE-OBGYN... here's their website: ne-obgyn.com. ?I use Dr. Farhart (love him) but he's male. I've heard good things about Dr. Tammy Murdoch too. It's in Stone Oak.... so I'm not sure how?convenient?that would be for you. ?A practice in the Medical Center would also be a good option... I'm sure you'll get lots of recs.?

Thanks so much for the rec! I am from Houston (Galveston originally.) I check to see if that doctor took my insuarance. I have Aetna and they are not listed on my doc find! DARN!!! I really appreciate your help though!
I was also wondering (because I am so new at this planning) when you go with a doctors office that has several doctors (more than 1 I mean), are you guaranteed that doctor that you choose will be doing the delivery of your baby? I have been wondering that for a while now. I am just going to be afraid that a doctor who is a total stranger to me will show up on my deliver day! Do you know anything about how that works? anyone?

Hi and welcome to SA!
I use Dr. Villa Olvera at Women Partners. The practice is all women but any one of 6 or so doctors could deliver you but you will meet them beforehand.

I'm with Lonestar OBGYN also, but my doctor is male - Dr.Peter Kuhl. I love him. He's very natural-birth focused, very laid back, very supportive. As far as I know, if I go with him for the birth (instead of a homebirth/midwife), he will be the one present at the delivery, unless he's on vacation, otherwise he's basically on call for all his patients.
Lonestar is the only practice with certified nurse midwives. It's a large practice, with different components. I can't say enough good about them.

I'm using LoneStar midwives...we adore them. We are happy with the attention we get at our visits and meet all the midwives so if for some reason ours cannot be there...we will know who's delivering our baby.
My friend is seeing Dr. Jennifer Jacobs (with LoneStar) and she is very happy
