Rose Bush Tree

I have 2 rose bush trees.  I think they are supposed to be shaped like a ball on top?  How do I do this?  Needing some help.  Didn't really think about how hard they would be to keep up when I bought them.

Re: Rose Bush Tree

  • You prune them the same way you prune regular roses.  It's past time here for pruning (Virginia) unless you are far north, I imagine it is a little late as well.  I would let them be wild and wonderful this year and then prune this winter.  There are all sorts of books on rose care, I recommend taking one out of the library for info, but with rose pruning, the time of year and where you prune and the angle of the cut are most important.
