Sunless Tanning Lotion

I'm looking at starting to do some sunless tanning lotion here at home.  I looked at Target yesterday it was slightly overwhelming.  I'm wearing a tea length dress for graduation and I don't want my legs to be blinding white (I'm a red head so I'm pretty fair complected)

Any recommendations that you ladies have tried that you'd recommend?  Any brands I should stay away from?

Re: Sunless Tanning Lotion

  • I'm not a Mary Kay sale woman, but I swear by their sunless lotion! It's great! And smells really good. The price is compariable to most in the store. If you need a MK gal, I have one who is awesome!
  • I use the Banana Boat sunless tanning lotion.  It is streak free and seems to work well.  I'm pretty fair skinned and last year I used the med/dark type and it looked fine.  I got two bottles at Ulta for the buy one, get one 50% off sale - not sure if they're still on sale though.

  • I'm on the search for a better sunless tan option, too - but I can highly recommend Sally Hansen's spray for legs if you're worried about wintery legs in a dress.  I usually find it in with the nail care stuff on the bottom shelf.  It gives a little bit of a glow, and covers up imperfections (like I bruise easily, and have a tiny little visible vein behind one knee, and it makes them disappear).

I also really like to do Mystic Tan (I know Soleil Tan has it) if it's for a special event, I think it looks pretty good.

  • I used the Neutrogena brand a couple of years. I don't have the exact name of it as everything is packed right now, but I'm sure you can find it at Target or Walmart.
