Can anyone rec dog boarding in Bel Air/Abinigdon Area?

We are moving down this weekend, but since we dont know when we are closing I am booking a hotel for us to stay in.  Some suites I have found allow pets, but I am wondering if it would be cheaper to just board them rather than pay all the hotel fees.  Know any good places that they will have fun at?  TIA

  • We use Best Friends Fur Ever on Philadelphia Rd. in Abingdon; right off the 152 exit of I-95.  Make sure you call to make an appointment.  They ask for a vaccinations record for any kind of boarding.  We have been doing puppy training classes there since January and also occasionally take Mason there for doggy day care.  He loves it and we love it.  The staff is awesome.  Check them out online.  We've had a great experience with them; my parents and aunts also board their dogs/train there.

    Good luck with the move!

I have only heard good things about this place.  I don't have dogs, though, so I don't have any personal experience with them.

  • Thanks!!

We actually drove by this place when we were down a few weeks ago looking at houses.  We thought it looked like so much fun!  So glad I found out what it's called and now have their website!!  So excited!!  LOL

  • Make sure you schedule a trial day for your dog at Best Friend Furever.  You can't let your dog stay the night until they have been "approved."

Really?  Interesting.  I guess that's good though.

I actually found a hotel that isnt going to break the bank with letting the dogs stay there, but I will definately keep this place in mind and remember that they need to do a trial run before hand.

    Thanks again everyone!!

  • Just wanted to give another positive recommendation for Best Friends Fur Ever.  We have boarded me dog there twice and he has done doggy day care a few times.  It is by far the best place in the area to board your pet.  But they will want medical records and a trial day in advance.  Because the dogs all run around and play together, they need to make sure your dog does okay with other dogs.
