H and I ventured off yesterday and went to a grocery store called Trader Joe's. I'm not sure if they are national or not, but we don't have any close by - we drove about 25 miles to get there, so it was a nice Sunday ride. I loved the store. Wasn't as big as I thought it would be, but it had a lot of great all natural stuff. We aren't big into eating organic so it was nice that it had some stuff that was cheaper and not organic. It was similar to Whole Foods but MUCH cheaper and smaller.

Re: Trader Joe's
I didn't see wine!
I try to avoid the big chain grocery stores b/c I feel like they are mostly a rip off. Wal-Mart has the same 'ol name brand crap and the no-name inexpensive stores are great, but don't have anything healthy other than fruits/veggies.
The Trader Joe's in MD doesn't carry alcohol b/c MD sucks! DC however doesnt suck and their Trader Joe's has alcohol. Every time we go visit my SIL we make a TJ wine run!!
Yeah, CT doesn't have wine either. Boo!
I LOVE their white bean and basil hummus. Their gyoza, soy cheese, pizza dough, soy ice cream, frozen fish and peanut butter pretzels are great too!

Bless you, girl. I need my real dairy. Do you ever keep any real stuff in the house?
My husband just switched from soy to almond milk. he likes it a ton better.
Not usually, no.
Some weeks I might get a few slices of muenster cheese from the deli or something to snack on with crackers...but for the most part everything is casein free in our house.
