I'm totally Bummed!

We just found out that our daycare prodiver, who we love, is moving.   It was her 3 kids and Jackson.   She was flexible and truly loved our son.   Her husband received an offer to for the Kansas City area, so they wil be moving down there once their house sells.  This totally bumms me out!

Does anyone know of daycare recommedations the West Des Moines, Grimes, Johnston area or does anyone want to take on a fun-loving 2-year old little boy :)

  • Our provider may be a bit out of the way for you, but I'm pretty sure she's going to have an opening for a 2 yr old starting in May.  She's currently on the edge of WDM/Waukee, but is hoping to move to a better WDM location, out of her townhome, into a house.  I can email you her contact info if you want.  We really, really like her.

  • Mine will - she just found out she will be losing a child for 3 year-old preschool this fall (older siblings are in same building).  He turns three on Sept 10th and was my son's best bud there.  I was considering looking into something else for him since there was no one else with in a year of age, so hoping she gets another 2-3 year old soon.  She is located just over the mile long bridge in Polk City (I live off NW Beaver in Johnston and it takes me 10 mins to get to her).  She has her degree in early childhood ed, she has worked at a center before but has been out of her home for about 6-7 years now.  We really like her - she is so calm about everything and we love the way she treats and teaches out son - he loves her too!  At the end of summer she will have up to three newborns (one is mine, and possibly two others if the parents still decide to go with her), a almost three year old and a 1 1/2 year old.  I am a little hesitant about that many newborns and am guessing (or hoping) one of them does not work out, since that seems to happen often.  Currently she has two - 2 year olds a 4 year old and a 1 year old...Let me know your e-mail and I can get you her info...
