dropped my mac on the sidewalk :(

I didn't realize that my backpack wasn't zipped and dropped my mac book on the sidewalk.  It works fine, but the corners are dented in and very sharp.  I have apple care so I need to check all that out.  not sure how much damage there needs to be before they replace it for you.  :(    I always try to take such good care of it.

Re: dropped my mac on the sidewalk :(

  • My father dropped his new iPhone the day he got it.  It shattered the glass, but only on the corners, so he definitely still could have used it.  He had the Apple Care, though, so he brought it in to the store.  They completely replaced the phone, at no charge to him.

I know that's an iPhone and not a computer, but I'd imagine the support would be similar.  Good luck.

  • It is worth trying Apple Care but they typically do not cover damage that you caused.
  • You need to talk to them. They typically don't cover accidental damage but check.
