When we were in AZ my dad had my car and told me that I needed new brakes and I probably shouldn't wait more than a month. That was a month ago. The 2 weekends after we were back Dad and I were getting my sisters house ready to put on the market and I asked him to call and let me know when he would be able to put the brakes on. Finally I called him last week and told him I needed it done by tomorrow since we are going to Cincinnati on Wednesday and if he didn't have time that was fine I would take it somewhere down here, no big deal. He told me he could do it tonight so chase arranged to get off work early so he can take it up and I called and paid for the parts and had them delivered to his shop. He called me about 10 minutes ago and tells me that the owner is there and does not like them working on their own cars there so he can't do it tonight... so now I get to go on vacation with shiitty brakes on my car. So much for getting my car fixed and actually having the house to myself for an hour or so before I have to work so I can get stuff done around here that is hard to do while I have Ella. He could have maybe mentioned that they don't like them to work on personal cars when I called him and I would have made other arrangements... but there is no way I can get it in somewhere tomorrow, I don't have a ride to drop it off/pick it up and the shop we use down here isn't walking distance to anything but a hardware store and I don't really want to spend the hr or 2 that it takes to fix it killing time in a hardware store.
